How it works

Stage 1: matching and updating your data

We take your data and put it through a rigorous six stage cleaning process:

1. make sure address formats are correct
2. run the data through PAF batch files to make sure the business address is recognised by Royal Mail 
3. run the data through deduplication software
4. match your data to Caterlyst
5. add market segmentation and additional demographics to improve the detail
6. manually match any business addresses we can’t match electronically (because company name or postcode are different or wrong).

Or you can tell us the type of companies you’re looking for.  We will identify the most cost-effective source for you, either from the Caterlyst database, or elsewhere.

Stage 2: telephone cleaning

Our expert data cleaning team will then call the organisations to check relevant names and contact details.

If any records appear to be 'dead', we’ll tell you. We’ll then return your database, in the format of your choice, with all matching records fully updated and ready to go.

If there’s anything we can’t match, we’ll ring and check. It’s hard work but well worth the effort. The result is clean, accurate data that we can match against the complete database to find prospects with a similar profile to your customers.
