Caterlyst is much more than a source of customer data.  We can validate and match our customers’ own data to provide the most comprehensive and accurate view of their market.  Our platform allows them to filter and view the data to match their granular requirements.

We use our data to produce shrewd and perceptive insights that can transform sales and marketing results.  We can produce market models and insight reports to support business planning.

e-Caterlyst is our customer marketing platform, which makes it easy for customers to create automated, compelling campaigns and engage with their prospect/customer base(s) using our validated e mail addresses.

Our people are proven leaders and experts, who provide clarity, authority and delivery, rather than ambiguity, uncertainty and disappointment.

The Role

Caterlyst are looking to activate an aggressive business plan to grow the company and require additional business development resource to drive uptake of our product portfolio.  The successful candidate will become a pivotal member of our team and play a crucial role in delivering the company’s growth plans.

The candidate must be analytical, willing to learn, and able to work to deadlines. Strong communication skills, and teamwork ethos are essential.

The role will favour an experienced business development professional, with considerable experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success over an extended period.

Many of Caterlyst’s current clients purchase a full licence agreement for our core data and platform, so the candidate will need to be proficient in developing and nurturing high level commercial relationships with both existing and new clients.

During 2024, Caterlyst will be launching several new product initiatives that will broaden our portfolio and appeal to a wider range of businesses operating across the out of home sector.  The candidate will play a leading role in maximising profitable new business based around this expanded portfolio.

Primary focus of role

Key Accountabilities

  • Generate new opportunities to secure profitable business for Caterlyst
  • Network extensively to establish and leverage relationships with senior leaders in the food and drinks sectors
  • Develop excellent relationships with key senior personnel at each client
  • Ensure timely service and commercial performance reporting is delivered to the client
  • Develop, deliver, and report on client account plans
  • Display a positive ‘can do’ attitude in managing client expectations and delivering great service.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-sell of additional Caterlyst services
  • Own and deliver agreed financial targets
  • Be a perpetual ambassador for the Caterlyst business

Experience and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Excellent prospecting, negotiation and account management skills
  • A technical mind with very strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.  Advanced Excel and PowerBI knowledge will be an advantage
  • Strong business acumen and associated commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills, including an ability to write engaging and compelling proposal documents
  • Initiative, drive and enthusiasm
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, enabling effective management of a wide client portfolio
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure
  • A full UK driving licence

Experience

  • Extensive experience of the Out Of Home Market in a business development role (Foodservice, Wholesale/Supply Chain, On-trade sectors)
  • Previous experience with CRM software
  • Previous experience with e-mail marketing automation platforms
  • Project management experience

 

Other Information:

Location:  Our Head Office is located near to Warner Brothers Studios, on the outskirts of Watford.  This role is likely to be based from home, with weekly attendance at Head Office and regular UK travel.

Working Hours:  09:00 to 17:30, Monday to Friday

Reports to: Client Services Director

Salary Range:  Final salary is negotiable and will depend on experience, but an indicative range is a basic salary of £30,000 to £45,000 per annum, with on target earnings of up to £75,000 per annum.
